What is niacinamide?
If you’re wondering what this “magical” ingredient is, Wilkerson explains that niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, is an essential nutrient that aids in the turnover and regeneration of surface skin cells. It also assists the skin in retaining moisture and staying hydrated.
“Niacinamide is crucial for our skin because of how versatile it is,” Wilkerson said. “The unicorn ingredient can tackle several skincare concerns, including providing hydration, surface skin cell turnover, and regeneration. It also exfoliates the skin.”
A deep look into the formula behind the moisturizer
OLAY believes strong skin is the foundation of natural beauty. Wilkerson explained that the OLAY Regenerist Niacinamide + Peptide 24 Face Moisturizer contains niacinamide to strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier.
The formula also includes amino peptides to support the skin’s natural renewal process, which makes the skin look smoother and firmer. The addition of humectants glycerin and hyaluronic acid moisturizes the skin by drawing water from the atmosphere.
It’s worth noting that the moisturizer is made with clean ingredients free of parabens, phthalates, and synthetic dyes.

I’ve been using the moisturizer for a week, and I’m intrigued by the healing benefits of the little red jar. Per Dr. Wilkerson’s recommendation, I incorporated the moisturizer into both my day and night skincare routines. I’m happy to say the face cream quickly absorbed into my skin and left no greasy residue, allowing it to be worn under my makeup seamlessly. As a makeup enthusiast, this was a big plus for me.
I don’t usually use fragranced skincare products (for no particular reason), but this one had a pleasant scent that I enjoyed. Although it claims to hydrate skin intensely in one day, I can’t say my skin felt dewy hours after applying it. However, I’ll keep using it to see if it helps in the distant future.

I prefer a super light moisturizer, so I was concerned this would be too heavy. I was pleasantly surprised that although it’s heavier than what I’m used to, it didn’t feel greasy on the skin. The scent is absolutely delicious, too!
