For years, I’ve turned to body butters to keep my skin moisturized in the winter. Like many, I find it difficult to maintain my skin’s natural moisture in colder temperatures. Experts say that dry skin in the fall and winter is caused by the lack of moisture in the air, amongst other factors. “During the colder months, humidity levels tend to drop, and the winds become cool and crisp. My experience
The aroma of toasted caramel with a dash of cinnamon greeted me the second I opened the sleek refillable container. As promised, the delicious skincare experience of the sweet-smelling formula truly indulged my senses.
After a warm shower, I buttered my skin with the new product that prides itself on being inclusive of all skin types. I found that it deeply conditioned and repaired my skin without leaving the sticky finish that some other shea butter products tend to create. I also appreciated the glycerin (a humectant) in the formula, which helped to lock in moisture for long-lasting hydration. We’re talking hours of moisturization!
I loved how the moisturizer absorbed evenly, but I noticed it took a few minutes to fully absorb into my skin. I strongly suggest waiting a few minutes before getting dressed to avoid any oil stains.
My results
The results were impressive — especially the scent. According to my friends, the body cream left me smelling like a snack, specifically a snickerdoodle cookie! As for the shimmer, the formula didn’t disappoint. The subtle gold shimmer is just enough to make me glow this holiday season.
The smooth, creamy texture of the formula felt like silk on my skin. My skin was noticeably softer after using the product consistently for a week. Rihanna, can we discuss making this limited-edition product available year-round? Just asking for a friend.
